Get Physical
The NAV CANADA Training and Conference Centre boasts one of the largest fitness and recreation facilities in Eastern Ontario. Indoor facilities include a 25-metre lap pool, double gymnasium, two saunas and a 1,300 square-foot fitness centre equipped with free weights and modern cardio equipment such as stationary bikes, elliptical trainers, treadmills and stair and rowing machines. With a full-time personal trainer on staff and dozens of fitness classes (aerobics, Pilates and AquaFit) each week, guests can select the type of exercise they prefer.
For those who prefer outdoor recreation, the Centre offers an even wider range of choices: our 70 acres of grounds feature volleyball and tennis courts, soccer fields and a baseball diamond. The Centre lies adjacent to a 40-kilometre network of cycling and recreational trails along the St. Lawrence River (bicycles available on-site). A short drive leads to several golf courses, conservation areas and historic attractions such as Upper Canada Village. In winter, guests can explore numerous cross-country ski trails.
NAV CANADA recognizes that conferences are more effective when delegates complement hard work with healthy fun!
Health Tip
Eating breakfast every day can help improve concentration, reduce hunger and maintain a healthy weight. Look for fast and easy choices such as whole grain breads and muffins, cereal with milk, fruit and fruit juice, yogurt and yogurt shakes, cheese, and eggs, or be creative with last night's leftovers.
